IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a form of hair removal which uses pulses of light at a specific frequency to target the melanin in the hair. The heat from the light is absorbed by the hair which causes the hair cells to be destroyed and pushed out by the skin.

On average it takes our customers about 3-4 uses for results but there are cases where results are seen within 1 use! Final results take 12 weeks.

We recommend using the IPL Koncept ONE once a week for the first 12 weeks. After this period, use your handset once a month, for 3 months or until satisfied. To maintain your results, use once every 2 to 3 months, or as needed. There is no need use it more than once a week, as IPL is only effective in the growing phase of your hair cycle. You may use the Skin Regeneration mode every 3 days for proper results.

Our Skin Regeneration mode uses the light to reduce the appearance of age spots, sun spots, acne scars, rosacea, and more by gradually healing from the inside out. This causes the blemishes to flake off naturally leaving only the fresh new skin it replaces!

Switching between Hair Removal and Skin Regeneration modes is very easy! Simply hold down the power button and the use button for two seconds and you will see the mode on the top left corner of the screen switch between HR (Hair Removal) and SR (Skin regeneration).

To switch between manual and automatic you have to hold down the use button for 2 seconds and the mode will be marked on the bottom of the screen.

There are a total of 8 gears in total for ultimate customization to target your exact skin/hair color combination! There is only one gear for SR mode as the light is not designed to penetrate the hair follicle.

You can use the IPL Koncept One on your entire body, including your Brazilian and face (just be sure to not get too close to your eyes).

IPL is suitable for all but the darkest skin tones. This is because the light energy may be more attracted to the pigments in the skin rather than the melanin in the hair. Refer to the skin tone chart below to see whether or not IPL is suitable for you!

IPL relies on melanin in the hair absorbing the light energy, because of this reason it is not as effective on light blonde, red, or grey colored hair.
